A new look at the world

Since 2017, the IFD has been organizing a photo competition on a key social issue, among students at design, art and photography schools. Always seeking to reflect on the design of the future, the IFD wants to capture the gaze of younger generations, explore possible futures, with the participation of a jury of personalities who decipher weak signals.

to 3 objectives

Catching the younger generation's eye on a key social issue

The competition is open to future designers and students from all creative backgrounds, at school or university, in design, applied arts, architecture or communications.

Encourage imagination, creativity and the exploration of possibilities

Classified as contemporary art, photography has established itself as a creative medium that reveals an imaginary reality when it captures an extraordinary situation.

Deciphering weak signals

The competition benefits from a unique "cross-fertilization" of the expertise of an eclectic, demanding and complementary jury (designers, sociologists, psychologists, philosophers, historians, journalists, futurists, photographers, architects...).
