What?
A space greenhouse for plant production in a closed, controlled environment.
Why?
To provide an agricultural production solution for long-duration space missions, but also to offer an alternative to traditional agriculture. The aim is threefold: to guarantee the stability of supply chains; to protect the environment by avoiding soil depletion and loss of biodiversity; and to grow numerous varieties of plants with contrasting needs in a single location.
How?
A 55m2 cocoon-shaped greenhouse inspired by biomimicry, deploying several stages of cultivation in a highly controlled environment with adjustable parameters.
Vocation?
Offer precision agriculture for terrestrial agricultural uses and also for the development of organic production in space.

Le Jury a été séduit par cette serre futuriste à la fois esthétique, poétique et fonctionnelle, dont l’inventivité offre une solution innovante pour satisfaire les besoins actuels et futurs de la production agricole de précision pluri-usages. Le Jury a particulièrement apprécié la mise en application des contraintes du domaine spatial pour répondre aux problématiques environnementales terrestres. Le Jury salue unanimement ce travail de recherche en résonance avec le futur de l’humanité.
